ACHPER Victoria October 2020 – Game Sense Presentation
A big thank you to ACHPER Victoria for allowing me to be a part of their ‘Teachers in Action’ series this October. It is great to have an opportunity to learn with others in Australia and be part of some professional conversations around so many different topics. It has allowed me to think more deeply about Why I use Game Sense and to re-read some great resources and feel more fresh about this great model.
This blog post is a place for me to share the resources I will be using for this presentation. Those attending or those who are looking for more information can find it here:
Google document Handout about the Presentation (including Resources)

Google Presentation (if you want a copy of this, please contact me directly)

If you intend to use any of these for anything other than your own consumption and conversations – please do let me know. I did not create any of the models/content/resources beyond the ways in which I use them and have explored ways to intergrate assessment ideas for my different IB and Standards Based schools.
You can talk to me on Twitter: @mjhamada or through this blog.
Thank you.

Hi Mel,
Loving the game sense work you’re doing. I think it’s a fantastic model to really get the students to think about the game more tactically and intelligently. I am currently doing Game Sense with a group pf Year 10 Boys and they really love the small sided games approach .
I was wondering if you could please share your presentation from ACHPER with me so I can further improve my pedagogy in Game Sense and PE.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Cheers
Darren
