    Day 20: Region Challenge Unit

Region Challenge Unit  Recently our team came together to discuss eLearning in the run up to the end of the year. With Week 15 or 16 starting this week, and with a changed school calendar to accomodate changes with breaks, holidays and assessment, we had to revamp our current plans with something different. We have noticed students dropping off in engagement and we wanted to try and bring them back in and not overwhelm them or their families. We also have a very small number of students returning to school, and wanted to think about how to grow their communities and give them things they could do together within the…

    PHASE-AP 2019

I am always interested in how these sessions can be more relevant and meaningful to those who come along – please do feel free to share with me here or by email or on twitter (or in-person). PE Proposal #2

Wealth by Reiterlied CC BY SA It takes a village to raise a child – this saying has come back to me after a week of amazing conversations from Beijing to Saudi Arabia – social media and our #Physed village have come out in full support.  My most favourite conversations are ones that are not affirming but rather ask a lot of questions or share research that allows time for more discussion and more questions.  I really value these interactions and have found it very reflective as I consider both the scheduling chats (how will we make this new timetable work for our PE students and staff?) that I have…

Quality PE at ISB – Define and Inquire

UNESCO Quality PE – link here to the online booklet UNESCO Quality PE – link here to the online booklet Do we provide Quality PE at ISB?  Over the last few months, I have been pondering this question.  And also how we might audit or facilitate meaningful dialogue with relevant stakeholders about how we would find out.  I re-read this document that UNESCO published and that resonated with me as it opened my thinking to more than just what I could offer as a single teacher at my school and made me think bigger about how to advocate for my students, their community (and mine) and then also how I…
